1. I didn’t want to go to university.
2. I wanted to jump into a fast-paced work environment that would allow me to utilise my interests in design and business.

So, I rocked up to my local Apprenticeships Fare and was immediately captured by an apprenticeship opening at a creative agency in Stockport; Ideal Point Of Sale Ltd.

I was told the interviews had almost wrapped up for this role, but they would call the agency and see if I could have an interview. I managed to secure one and was offered the role! I jumped straight into their ways of working, trying to absorb all the information being thrown at me.

My role there consisted of managing client product launches, usually footwear based as my clients were adidas, VANS, UGG and The North Face to name a few, from initial creative brief, to sketches of how we could launch the footwear in various store layouts, to 3D visuals.

Once the 3D visuals were approved, I would work on quotes with our trusted printers for the roll out of the displays and the installation of them in stores. We would produce everything in around a two week time frame before shipping each bespoke display to store. I would then head down to the flagship store we were installing in (usually on Oxford Street) and manage the install over night to ensure everything went in perfectly.

I would sign off on all the other installs via photos and videos sent to me by the installation team. From writing creative briefs to managing these late night installations, it was a hands-on role and I loved every minute of it!

Fast forward nearly eight years of working in this industry and I am still obsessed with the world of brand activation, in all of its wonderful formats.

I had been keeping an eye on everything IMA-HOME achieved over the last eight years and I am ecstatic to now be part of the IMA HOME Retail Team.
